Fantastic 4 Shot Movie

In Te Ngahere we have been making a four shot movie. We had to make a movie that

had an establishing shot, a long shot, a medium shot and close up shot. The reason why

we did this was to learn about four different shots because we will be making small

movies about something, so now we know how to shoot an establishing shot, a long

shot, a medium shot and close up shot. The establishing shot shows you where the

movie will take place. (Ours was a picture of the Library because that was were we filmed

our movie.) A long shot shows you the characters for the first time.

(My movie showed a boy looking at a book and a girl next to him looking at it too.)

The medium shot shows more information about the people in the movie.

(So you might be able to see them better or see their emotion. We showed the boy

looking at the book but he looked really stuck on the questions.) The book the boy

was reading was called the Very Hard Math Question Book. The close up shot is pretty

much showing what the characters are doing. (Ours was a twist and we put very easy

questions in the Very Hard Math Question Book.) When we did our establishing shot

it was supposed to show the library but we did not think that was very clear because there

was no sign. I think my group did well on making the movie because it was a little bit

funny because of the close up on 1+1 =_ on the Very Hard Math Question Book. Next

time we make a movie if we film in the library we should put up a sign that says

library because it was not clear. This learning will help me in the future because now

I know how to film shots like a close up shot because we did the learning.

Have you ever made a movie before?
