!!!!POETRY!!!!

In Te Maunga we have been learning about Poetry. I learnt about metaphors. A metaphor is where you put a word and give it a human quality. (Here is an example. Give the grass a fright.)

FILMS

 In Te Maunga we have been learning about films. The people in my group were Jacinta, Jaelyn, Poet and Charlize. Our movie was about viruses. I learnt about green screen. That means putting up something green so then once you finish filming you edit whatever background you want.

!!!GEOMETRY!!!

 In Te Maunga we have been learning about geometry.
I learnt about 3D shapes. I learnt that a cylinder has 3 faces, 2 edges and 0 vertices.
Also 3D means 3 dimensions.
In one of the activities I made a cuboid by using small and big cuboids.
In 2D you can only see one face and with 3D you can see all of the faces.

Treasure Hunt

 On Friday August 28th we did a treasure hunt.

We had to look nearly all over the school, and we could win headphones, some pie vouchers, a ball and more.

We were raising money for Sam Godsiff-Johnson and I Am Hope.
