In Te Maunga we made a Pepeha and Greetings slide. I learnt the saying no hea koe means I live in. (For example, I live in Paihia.) My Maunga is Pouerua and that is in Northland.
In Te Maunga we did collage art. Collage art is where you rip small bits of paper and stick it to another piece of paper making a picture. I made a picture of a volcano erupting with two mountains behind. The class made amazing ones. We made them because we read a book called Battle of the Maunga and our class is called Te Maunga.
In Te Maunga we did reading about viruses. We had to fill in 2 tables. The first table we had to explain what viruses, fungi and bacteria are. The second table was about the steps of a virus. learnt that a virus flows with your blood until it finds a good host cell.
In Te Maunga we were learning about the water cycle. We also did art. I learnt different ways to colour with colouring in pencils. I learnt about condensation, evaporation, collection, and precipitation. For our art we had to draw one step from the water cycle.
